Please be informed that the Pharmacy Division, the Health Department had stop their operation from the ground floor of WISMA CUSTOMS, Pulau Indah effective 21 August, 2006.



All transactions for export to be done at Northport timing as below:-



Operation time : Monday – Thursday (8.00 am – 5.00 pm)



Lunch time : Monday – Thursday (1.00 pm – 2.00 pm)

Friday (12.45pm – 2.45pm)

The operational office at Northport will operate as usual operational time will remain as normal

Please be informed that the Fasting Month is just around the corner, as such Westports Malaysia would like to announce on their operation timing such as :-



The Container Operations will be stopped for one (1) hour, that is from 1845 hours to 1945 hours to enable Muslims staff to break fast.



This will include the :Vessel Operators, Gate Movements and Westports Document Centre.

RE : DUBIOUS CHARGES

Attached with this memo is the letter from Port Klang Authority (LPK) in regards to the DUBIOUS CHARGES. Port Klang Authority (LPK) reminded all Warehouse Operators and International Freight Forwarders to comply with the revised LCL deconsolidation charges which takes effect from 10th July, 2006 (Refer Member Circular : 070/2006 dated 8th July, 2006).

Port Klang Authority (LPK) had also stress that :-

Any warehouse operator and freight forwarder who do not comply with the prescribed tariff will not be allowed to operate within the Free Commercial Zone.

Members who had wrong billing from the respective Warehouse Operators / International Freight Forwarder to forward to SFFLA with evidence so that the Association could pursue the case with the said parties.

On that note, Port Klang Authority (LPK) had also brought up the issue on dubious charges such as “HANDLING CHARGES” “COST RECOVERY CHARGES”, “CFS CHARGES”, “CRM fees”, the Authority has also decide that such dubious charges must be refunded and, retrospective from 1st January, 2006.
