RE : FAPAA 33RD EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETING
Please be informed that there is a Federation of Asia – Pacific Aircargo Association (FAPAA) Executive meeting to be held in Genting International Convention Centre from 8th – 10th June, 2006 (Thursday – Saturday). This meeting will be attended by 16 countries in Asia Pacific.

The FMFF working committee and the exco have decided to give a generous discount for the State Association members on registration fee. The fees will be RM180.00 to cover the food and refreshment for the 2 days.

We have block room at First World Hotel, Genting at a special rate of RM184.00 per night (Deluxe View Room) (Twin sharing basis)

RE : LARANGAN MENGENAI IMPORT BAGI KENDERAAN DI KAWASAN ZON PERDAGANGAN BEBAS

Please be informed that there is a NEW regulation from Finance Ministry, for all import cars required AP before loading to Free Zone Area.

Importers need to apply AP from MITI within 24 hours from ATA. Failing to do so there is a possibility to have the cars confiscated by Customs.

Please be informed that SFFLA will be organizing the Goods and Service Tax (GST) Seminar on these dates for members only, these sessions will be conducted by Customs.

1) 6th June, 2006 (Tuesday) and
2) 20th June, 2006 (Tuesday)

Each session will be limited to only 50 participants, on a first come first serve basis and each company is limited to 2 participants per session.

SFFLA with be charging RM20.00 per participant.

Please be informed that there are additional transactions code in Customs K9 SMK had been implemented in Selangor and Johor. These would be additional transaction code for local sales that involved the License Manufacturing Warehousing. (Gudang Pengilangan Berlesen – GPB)

The codes are as below:

LS - LMW Local sales with preferential tariffs (Asean, CEPT, COMM)
LX - LMW Local sales with exemption

Kindly ensure that the codes appear in the Customs K9 transactions.
